Sutherland is the administrative centre of the Sutherland Shire, built around a major rail interchange where the Illawarra and South Coast lines meet. Government offices, professional firms, medical practices and TAFE NSW Sutherland College sit in and around the town centre.
Sutherland is about 30 kilometres south of the Sydney CBD and is the administrative centre of the Shire.
Sutherland is an office town in a way the rest of the Shire is not. It is the administrative centre, it sits on a rail interchange with direct services to the Sydney CBD, Cronulla and Wollongong, and a good share of the people working here commute in or work partly from home.
That makes the questions different. Not cabling a warehouse or keeping a card terminal alive, but whether staff can work as well from home as from the office, whether the phone system follows them when they do, and whether remote access to the office systems is secure rather than merely convenient.
We work on this with businesses across Australia, plenty of whom have no office at all any more. Sutherland businesses have the office nearby at Cronulla when something needs doing in person.
Being close to Sutherland means on-site attendance is simple when a job needs it. It is not the limit of who we work with. Most of what we do is delivered remotely to customers around the country, and we attend site across greater Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong and the Blue Mountains, plus Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.
